Super Hero Training Handbook

So. you have decided to become a superhero? Well, that is a noble profession indeed, but be warned! The hours are long and tedious, the pay (if any) is meager at best, unless you are the lucky few employed by various governments, and you have a good chance at being seriously injured or even killed! Now then, to be a superhero you must first protect your secret identity. This is done by three (3) things, your Superhero Name, you Superhero Costume, and your Superhero Personality.

1. Superhero Name: To be a proper superhero, you must choose a proper superhero name. This name must accomplish three (3) things, at least.

     A. it must convey who you are and to an extent what your powers are. (I.E. the flash is fast, as in "quick as a flash")

     B. it must convey a connection to your mascot, if any (I.E. Batman, spiderman, etc.)

     C. it must not be currently used by a superhero or villain, this avoids confusion. this is only relevant in each singular universe, but is sometimes a good rule of thumb if you plan to jump from universe to universe. also, if you are taking the mantle of a superhero, you must decide whether to change the costume for your interpretation of that superhero or to stay true to the spirit of the hero you are resurrecting.

2. Superhero Costume: Like the super hero name, this is a big part to consider before embarking on your new career fighting crime. There are four (4) things to consider when making your costume.

     A. Cost: Are you a rich playboy, or are you a college student or even a high school student?

     B. Purpose: Does your costume do all the work, or is it just something you wear so you aren't naked?

     C. Durability: It's probably a good idea to make your clothes more or at least as, durable as you are.

     D. Color Scheme: Fashion is everything even in the politics of the crime fighting business.

3. Superhero Personality: This is not necessarily a psychotic disorder, although it can be.
The Superhero Personality is the ultimate in covering up your secret identity, it may be the only things that saves your life if your mask is pulled off. The Superhero Personality is comprised of attitude, posture, and voice intonation.

     A. Attitude: is your superhero deep and sensitive, or shallow and energetic, maybe the courageous hero or even the quick-to-rage anti-hero?

     B. Posture: Standing up straight can mean the difference to looking menacing or just looking fat. You should decide on your posture to fit your personality.

     C. Voice Intonations: This is probably the most important of all, imagine this if you will, you are talking on a phone from somebody who does not know your secret identity, but they belive you know the superhero, if they call you asking for this superhero, why not put him on the phone? By changing your voice by talking one octave higher or lower or even adding a stutter or lisp, you can make your enemies or your allies even think you are a completely different person.
